Spicy Turkey Cauliflower Rice Recipe

  • Author: Katherine

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 small head cauliflower (riced)
  • 1 bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

    • Ensure the oil is hot before adding the vegetables to prevent sticking.

  2. Add onion and bell pepper; sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.

    • Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking and avoid burning.

  3. Stir in garlic; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

    • Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can turn bitter.

  4. Add ground turkey; cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).

    • Use a spatula to break up the turkey into smaller pieces as it cooks.

  5. Mix in riced cauliflower, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper; cook for 5-7 minutes until cauliflower is tender.

    • Stir frequently to ensure the spices are evenly distributed and the cauliflower cooks through.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.

    • The cilantro adds a fresh burst of flavor that complements the spices beautifully.
